Very nice. I added bacon to the browning chuck steak cubes and used store bought puff pastry. I used beef stock instead of cherry-red wine and frozen veg. Before I added the pastry lid, I covered the meat mixture with a layer of tasty cheddar cheese slices. My hubby loves steak, bacon and cheese pie. Because I added the salary it was a lot saltier and next fourth dimension I volition use salt-reduced stock.

We made x pies' worth of this recipe for a large group. It was very easy, but I found information technology somewhat bland. I would also at least double the meat:vegetable ratio if I was going to make information technology again.

Very expert pot pie. I used the refrigerated pie crusts which were perfectly cooked. The canned mixed vegetables I used had potatoes which was a nice add-on to the pie. I might explore using frozen vegetables next time to see if their was a big divergence. Will make again.

Keen recipe made it for husband's birthday and it was a full hit with the in-laws as well as the kids.

I used left over pot roast and it turned out wonderfully. My boyfriend and I actually liked it better than the pot roast!

I had to improvise with this recipe, I made my ain pie chaff, and beef gravy equally I had none pre-made on paw. I besides cutting back on the wine because I didn't make enough gravy ( ooops!). Plus, I used frozen veggies. Other than all that I followed the recipe and it was my first time cooking with wine I was pleased overall. I will build upon this recipe, and brand again thank you Andrew!

This has a strange flavor, the wine is not a good addition. I followed directions exactly, maybe I should take used goop instead. It'south basically chicken pot pie but with stew beefiness and a bland gravy...

This is the 2nd pie that I have ever made and information technology wasn't until this recipe did I discover the importance of letting a pie "sit" and then that the flavors can set in. At get-go taste I idea that perhaps the recipe called for too much vino only a few hours later afterwards I had it in the fridge and heated it up information technology tasted perfect! My sister the picky eater fifty-fifty enjoyed it. Thank you for the recipe!

This is a really swell recipe that yous can alter to your personal taste. I omitted the wine, and instead of canned veggies did a quick saute of fresh to include sliced onion, celery, carrot. I added a pocket-sized can of mushrooms and some sliced baked potato. Thanks for the corking recipe.

Really loved this. We were getting sick of the erstwhile chicken pot pie recipe, and this was merely a easy, with a totally new flavor. The whole family loved information technology! Cheers Andrew

Good. Easy! For some reason I ended up with also much liquid and it overflowed the pir crust. I'd beloved to blame the recipie but it was probably operator error. Overall a quick and reasonable dish.

Merely making it now, and it's cooking in the oven now. I'm not unremarkably into home blistering but today i decided i wanted to make pie. Piece of cake instructions, and piece of cake to practice.

This was a Actually nice base recipe. I added rounded 1/2 tsp. of dried oregano and almost 1/ii Tbls. of dried parsley and a small-scale onion (which I lightly sauteed first) and then added to the beefiness/wine mixture for reducing. It was a piddling liquidy fifty-fifty though I permit it stand for 10 mins. subsequently baking. May add together 2 tsp. flour or corn starch but to thicken a niggling...but not past much.

Bang-up recipe, my commencement time making anything with a crust and information technology was delicious. I left out the wine and I call up I would prefer using leftover pot roast as the steak that I used was a little tough.

iii-14-20 I made this for Pi day. I used beefiness stew meat and per another reviewer's suggestion, I doubled the meat. I had thought for certain I had some mixed vegetables but I didn't so I only used a can of greenish beans (the but veggie my family volition eat anyway). It was pretty skilful and I enjoyed the leftovers fifty-fifty more. Next fourth dimension I'll cube some potatoes to put in.

Yummy and super easy. My hubby just RAVES near this. Dandy with a french bread for soaking upwards extra gravy!
